Well, I've always thought that Spike/Buffy and Veronica/Logan had a similar vibe: a sort of bitch versus jackass sort of thing going on, you know? (Jareth/Sarah might have a bit of this going on as well. But it's been ages since I watched that movie and mostly what I remember is DAVID BOWIE IN TIGHT PANTS! Oh, and muppets.)

And I haven't watched House in a while, nor have I ever really thought much about Mal/Simon as a pairing, but they might have a similar vibe, as well--like House/Wilson is a more extreme version of the cynical sort-of-rebel/conscientious doctor pairing?

But other than that, I'm not seeing any trends.

Hmmm.. I wouldn't call Sarah a bitch, and though Jareth could definitely be a jackass, I think that one more falls under the category of bright eyed but determined young girl and older and more cynical man. Cain/DG would be the same, though the dynamic is very different what with them not being enemies and all. :)

Well, like I said, I haven't seen it in years (though I loved it when I did), so I'm certain you're right. I just seemed to remember Sarah being a bit selfish at the beginning (though I remember her growing a lot and loving it), so I think that's why I stuck them in that category.

Cain/DG would be the same See, I know nothing about them which is why that category hadn't occurred to me. Very interesting insights, though!
