For some reason, I suddenly want to read a Supernatural/Firefly crossover fic. I don't know why. I usually don't like crossovers. But I was rewatching a Firefly episode and I was all, "I wonder how Sam and Dean would react to River. I can just imagine the weird, confused looks Dean shoots to Sam over her head as she babbles at him while they're trying to interview her or something."

And now I want to read it.

I want to see Dean's smarmy grin and smart ass remark to Inara when Mal explains to him what a "Companion" is (and then see Inara completely shut him down after, much to Sam's amusement), see Jayne's reaction to weapons in the Impala's trunk (would he be impressed? Or would he just scoff when they explained about the rock salt and pull out Vera as an example for what a real man's weapon should look like?).

I want Book to give Sam advice when he's in one of his angsty, guilty moral crises, and geek out over some research with Simon, I want Kaylee flirting and blushing with Sam, and Zoe and Dean standing shoulder to shoulder with guns aimed at an enemy (Zoe would say something flat and stoic, Dean would respond with a dirty grin and a lot of innuendo, and behind them Wash would call out, "Hey, there! That's my wife you're talking to!" and Zoe would reply with something like, "I can handle him, dear. Just keep your eyes peeled for the Captain." ["Yes, lambie-toes"])

And I want Sam and Dean to butt heads with Mal, because they're not going to take order from anyone (unless it's John, and of course, even then Sam will cause trouble) and Mal wants to turn the ship around and flee from the Reavers, and Sam and Dean want to go right in there and kill them, because if they don't then someone else will die.

I want to read this.


So uh, has anyone read any good firefly/Supernatural crossovers lately?
