Ooooo I almost put House/Wilson on mine but I ran out of space. Plus I tend to not be so slashy mcslasherson but I just looooove the House/Wilson dynamic.
I of course recognize the strong woman/asshole type pairings you have in common with me. Psst, you don't write any Vmars fic do you?

Yeah I know, I wasn't too much of a slasher when I first got into fanfiction, and then... I just was. *shrugs* I don't know. My ships tend to either be filled with a lot of tension/hate/self-destruction, or have a best friend dynamic to them and I guess a lot of those slash couples had them.
Sorry, I've only seen the first two seasons of Veronica Mars (And I was totally shipping those two from like, the first episode. I think that is a good example of the tension/hate thing going on there) so I haven't even read much fanfiction for it, at the fear of being spoiled.

I guess I'd say there's a common theme of balancing out opposities.

And I haven't watched House in a while, nor have I ever really thought much about Mal/Simon as a pairing, but they might have a similar vibe, as well--like House/Wilson is a more extreme version of the cynical sort-of-rebel/conscientious doctor pairing?
But other than that, I'm not seeing any trends.

Cain/DG would be the same See, I know nothing about them which is why that category hadn't occurred to me. Very interesting insights, though!
