OH MY GOD KRIPKE. HOW CAN AN EPISODE BE SO GOOD AND YET RIP OUT MY HEART AND FUCKING STOMP ON IT AT THE SAME TIME?

Spoilers be here. )

Oh, and hi everyone. I've been missing from livejournal for a while. My thyroid hasn't been acting like it should if it had "classic" Hashimoto's, so my new doctor (a specialist) has taken me off all meds for a month so we can start over. Which means I'm back to sleeping a lot. Yay. *sigh*
So me and my sister started on season 4 today. After we finished the episode, Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester, and I turned and asked her what she thought. You know, since this is the episode that basically changes a lot of what Supernatural is about, bringing in Angels, Lucifer, the 66 seals and the Apocalypse and all that. So here's our conversation.

Sis: I think I need to pause and reflect on this episode.
Me: Yeah, it changes a lot.
Sis: I liked Caspian--
Me: Castiel.
Sis: --Castiel. He was hot.
Me: Yeah, Misha Collins is awesome.
Sis: Okay. Next episode.
Me: I thought you need to reflect?
Sis: I'm done reflecting.

Conclusion: Castiel is hot. It was a deep conversation.
First thought for tonight: This episode was really, really gross.

More thoughts on tonight's ep--Spoilers )

Oh, and six weeks hiatus? What the hell is up with that? We just got back from a hiatus!

Just finished season 2 of Dark Angel, now I'm sad that there's no season 3. So many story arcs left unfinished. Ah well, just another show canceled before it's time. *thinks bitterly of Dollhouse, The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Firefly*

I think I might check and see what fanfiction is out there though.
How can the tone of this season be so much grimmer, yet the episodes far more ridiculous? I just don't understand...

And where is my Herbal? He was my favorite!

So, last season I was shipping Logan/Max pretty hardcore. Now, I'm starting to feel some Max/Alec. I'm convinced all their bickering is suppressed sexual tension. And that when he told Asha to fortify herself for the news about Max's virus, that was exactly what he was doing when he was downing scotch after scotch.

I don't know, but last season the whole Max/Logan thing was cute, this season it's kind of a drag. Also, the differences between season 1 Max and season 2 Max make her seem like a completely different person. I don't think I'd ship season 1 Max with Alec, but this season I can totally see it.

(Anybody sick of my Dark Angel rambling yet? I'd apologize for spamming you, but I'm stuck in my apartment, alone, suffering from some insomnia and bored out of my freakin mind. All I have to keep me occupied watching this show and then babbling about it.)
Alright, I'm not sure I'm liking the whole animal spliced transgenic mutants thing. Wilson's expression in this icon pretty much reflects my face half the time when the show deals with that stuff. And the halloween episode was just extremely hard for me to get through.

Also, I liked Max's hair better in season 1, not to mention her attitude. She's all boring and mopey right now, and her hair reflects that.

On the other hand:

Jensen! JensenJensenJensen!

I just adore Alec.

Jensen! JensenJensenJensen!

Okay, I knew he came in during season two but I had no idea to expect him in season 1. I'm a little confused as to how it's going to work next season though.

Wow. He looked so young. And pretty. :) And his voice was a WHOLE lot smoother. Really, what's up with the Dean voice? Getting gruffer and gruffer, like he's batman or something. Hah. Maybe that's the explanation, Dean is imitating his idol. :D

So, yeah, Jensen was a pretty crier in this show too, and yeah, it did make me cry a little as well. I felt so bad for him at the end. But ooo.. you could see his freckles much better in this show... *unapologetic fangirl*
So, I was supposed to go back to my parents house for the weekend so I could watch my brother and sister in the singing competition tomorrow. But, it's snowing really bad here, and my breaks are acting funny so I'm stuck in my apartment for the weekend. Which sucks because I've only missed on Solo/Ensemble Competition since I used to do them every year, and that was because I had a really bad case of flu. Also, I'm running out of food in my apartment and I wasn't planning to go shopping until Monday, and of course, right now it's too bad out there to drive to the store. So I'm stuck with frozen burritos and eggs.

Not together. That would be gross.

To keep myself entertained this weekend I have started watching Dark Angel. (Yes, just so I could watch Jensen in season 2.) I don't know if anyone on my flist has watched it, but so far it's alright. I mean, the dialogue seems a little fake sometimes--a little too smooth, too much slang--and I'm not really digging the soundtrack, but Logan's cute. I like the whole scruffy guy with glasses things, and this thing between Max and him remind me of the days back in junior high when I read the Fearless series: Kick ass, genetic freak girl with no fear paired up with common sense speaking wheelchair guy.

Oh, Gaia and Ed, you always were my favorite in that very long, over dramatic young adult series. I never did finish those books... For all I know the author is still pumping out more.

In any case, I don't think this show is going to become my new Epic Fandom Love or anything like that, but it's passing the time.
Oh my god! This episode was awesome! I mean, don't get me wrong, I've still loved the past few episodes, even if they didn't have much to do with the main plot, but to finally get back to the apocalypse and just to do it so amazingly--just...gah.

!!!! (Spoilers) )
So, I haven't watched Supernatural yet because my TV is broken and my roommate claimed the living room first, and though I made sure to set the DVR she is still in there watching her crap reality TV and I'm seeing all these caps locked entries from my new friends on my flist and it is DRIVING ME UP THE WALL. My roommate usually goes to bed early every night. I mean, like way early.

Why did she choose today to stay up late?? WHY?

Just finished this episode, and now I'm waiting for the next one to finish loading so I can watch it before White Collar. (Wow, I can't believe the amount of TV I watch these days. Good thing Tuesdays are light on the workload and I can catch up with stuff.)

Watched the most recent episode of Castle (Did you know I watch Castle, flist? I don't talk about it much since I don't follow it as religiously as I do other shows). I thought it was adorable. I mean, the attraction between the main characters was supposed to be obvious from the first ep, and it is, but I liked this whole date thing. And she was twirling her hair at the end! And he didn't even notice. I love it when the romantic pairing are oblivious. I think it's adorable. :D

Also, loved Becket's dress in this ep.

I need a Castle icon...

Edit: Castle icon! *points up*
I'm having a hard time watching this episode right now because I keep having to pause it so I can giggle.
My reaction:

Shit! Shit, Joss! Shit! God! What? Huh?

Oh my fucking god!

I just... and he was... and.. Gah!

What. The. Hell.

*whimpers pathetically*

Also, I don't know what it is about this show, but I'm like shipping everyone with everyone. Seriously. I love Caroline/Bennet and Bennet/Topher and Topher/Ivy and Paul/Mellie and yeah. The only two I really love together exclusively is Victor/Sierra.
So, I've gotten my little sister hooked on Supernatural. For the past couple nights now we've been working our way through season 1. Our conversations during go something like this:

Sis: Sam has really nice skin.
Me: Uh, huh.

Sis: Dean has like, pillow lips. And really big eyes. He's far too pretty for a man.
Me: I know.

Sis: Huh. Dean has some serious abandonment issues, doesn't he?
Me: Oh, you have no idea. Just wait till season 2.

Sis: Awww, look at that smile! Crows feet! So adorable.
Me: I know.

Me: And cue Sam's Bitch Face.
Sis: His what face?
Me: Bitch Face, for when he's really annoyed with Dean.
Sis: Oh

Sis: Is he going to use that line every episode?
Me: What line?
Sis: The whole, "I know how you feel," thing.
Me: Oh yeah. That's how he manipulates information out of people. 'Cause he's the "sensitive" one.
Sis: Whereas Dean's the jackass. The hot jackass.
Me: Yup.

Sis: So is that Bitch Face?
Me: No, that's Brood Face.
Sis: What's Brood Face for?
Me: For when he's being all emo and "My girlfriend died, my dad is missing, and I just dropped out of college to spend twenty hours a day packed in a car with my annoying older brother so I can live the crazy, fucked up life I cut all family ties to get away from."
Sis: Well, damn. I'd have Brood Face too.

---

So far, the re-watch has been really fun. :)
I cried. A lot. In fact, I'm still sniffling a bit, though that has less to do with the episode and more to do with the cold I'm coming down with.

Still. Major over emotional crying there.

Reactions. (Long) )

I think I'm going to read some fanfiction now. With Ten. I need comfort fiction.

I have started downloading The End of Time part two, so I have one hour and thirty-two minutes or so until I can watch it. (A rather long time for only 701 mb, but, oh well.)

Last episode with RTD.

Last episode with Ten.

I'm excited to watch this, and yet dreading it at the same time. I wasn't into Doctor Who when David Tennant took over from Christopher Eccleston, so even though I ADORED Nine (He's my Doctor!) I had at least seen a few episodes with Ten so I already knew that I liked him as well. So this--not having any idea how I'm going to respond to a new Doctor, is completely new for me.

It's driving me a bit mad.

Oh Ten, I'll miss you. And you too, RTD, and I hope my worries about Steven Moffat taking over the show are proven unfounded.

Whoa... checked the ETA of the download and it's now on like, two days and a few hours. Um. Yeah, no. I think I'm gonna look for another download.
Finally got around to watching it, which, seeing the end, I now believe was really stupid. I should have waited until Part 2 aired, that way I could watch them back to back. *sigh*

Reactons )

And this has nothing to do with Doctor Who, but I just thought I'd share my word count for the year:

77,373

Not a whole lot considering several people on my flist wrote 50,000 in a month, but still good for me. My goal this year was at least 75,000 (my goal last year was 50,000. I'm slowly working up.) and I surpassed that, so I'm happy. :) Next year's goal? 100,000. And I'm planning on signing up for the Supernatural Big Bang (that lawyer!Sam bunny won't go away!) so that will be at least 20,000 right there.

Oh, and my bandwidth on photobucket was apparently used up, so all my graphics (with the exception of my banner) are turning into those ugly photobucket images. This is sad. *pouts*
