So last night I had the craziest dream. I dreamed that I was driving in my home town and I was so tired that just as I turned onto a street I fell asleep--like immediately, like I had narcolepsy or something--and drove straight into a tree in somebody's yard. I woke up and got out of the car--safe and unhurt--but a semi-truck full of oil was right behind me and it too ended up crashing. And then exploding, killing the truck driver and setting fire to a whole street full of houses, causing all of the people in them to die.
I was then arrested and charged for attempted suicide and murder. The weird thing was that the person who arrested me was Sheriff Lamb from Veronica Mars and my lawyer was Alan Shore from Boston Legal. I think I have been watching those shows far too much.
Anyway, I made bail, but living at home was hell because the whole town hated me and went out of their way to make me miserable--I couldn't leave the house without being harassed in some way. A lot of my family couldn't handle it and they disowned me, including my mother, who said she should have known I was depressed and suicidal from my sleeping habits, and I was pretty sure I was going to be convicted because the witnesses who were going to testify that I wasn't depressed or suicidal were pressured into backing out by people in the town--something that Lamb liked to smirk about. Also, the whole jury was from my hometown (who hated me, remember) and the judge denied my change of venue request. It wasn't looking good, despite my having Alan on my side.
I guess it was a good thing that my mom woke me up right as I was heading for trial.
Like I said, one crazy dream.
