Hahs not really. It was actually a surprise to me. I did the whole OpenID thing to check it out, and went ahead and confirmed my e-mail address. Apparently they gave codes to everyone who did that so! Here I am! Not twelve hours later.

Well, I've friended you on both DW and here. And I know what you mean about not being very active there. I've imported my journal and stuff, but LJ is still going to be my main journal. I'll probably just use that as back up or something. *shrugs*
*nods* I never saved my LJ before, what they have there is a neat feature. And even if I can crosspost from DW to LJ, I won't leave LJ. Even if it was for only the icons ;) (Only six *sigh* even if I started @ LJ with three if I remember right.) $ 200 for a permanent account are too much for not using it properly.
You have a plus account I see - you can see here how many subscriptions you have left: xx of xxxx subscriptions. Found it: more about it here about how to. With a plus account you have 200 (if the FAQ is still correct) :)
On the user info page There is this pin you see in the entry. If you click that, you can subscribe.
By example: When I'm not sure how good one is with using tags and I don't have enough Notifications (Subscriptions) left, I just go for username "posts a new entry". You can just just one tag though, like "icons" or "fanfiction". But if you choose a tag you'll only get notifications for that one tag. I know a writer that used "story title chapter 1", "story title chapter two" as tags; impossible to get notifications this way for a new chapter. If the tag fanfiction is used for all chapter, this would work. But the tags have to be in the entry when it gets post, not added after posting the entry. That doesn't work. (Sometimes I just forget to add a certain tag and do it later.)
You'll get an email notification with a link to the entry (xx has posted a new entry with the title "xxx". The entry is tagged "yyy") and the whole entry in the your Inbox
It's like friending without giving access to your F-locked entries. But you won't be able to see locked entries if you haven't friended that LJ with this feature.
