sinstralpride , who wanted a Harry/Hermione/Ron drabble based on domestic cuteness. Well, it's way over a drabble, and it's more like domestic smut but I hope you like anyway, dear.
He gripped her wrists and pressed his face into the crook of Hermione’s neck, kissing and nuzzling the skin there. She gasped and threw her head back, curls she could never tame a dark contrast against the white of the brand new pillow.
“You know that all three of them are getting a flat together?”
Arthur looked up from The Daily Prophet he was reading. “Well of course they are. What did you think they were going to do?”
Molly sputtered. “Well, I thought--I hoped--Ron and Hermione seemed like--I thought they would--”
Arthur looked at his wife in amusement. “Yes, I thought so too. But you didn’t think they would leave Harry all alone did you?”
A soft, mothering look came over her features at the mention of Harry being alone. “No, of course not. You’re right. No one has been able to separate those three since their first year at Hogwarts.”
“Yes. They’ve always been very close.”
Broad, familiar hands skimmed across his back, curved along the outline of his ribs before settling on his hips. Lips brushed against the back of his neck, a voice, hoarse with need and want whispered his name in his ear. He tilted his head back to rest against a freckled shoulder and whispered back.
“Ron.”
“You’re moving in with two men.”
Her mother didn’t say it like it was a question, but a statement of disbelief. Her parents both sat in front of her on the couch, and though neither of them said it aloud, the looks on their faces clearly expressed, “We thought we raised you better than that.”
Hermione put her hands on hips and scowled. “It’s Ron and Harry, mum. You’ve met them! It’s not like I’m getting a flat with two complete strangers.”
Her father sighed. “We know that, Hermione, and we understand that you want to get out in the world, live on your own. But, isn’t there a girl you went to school with that you could live with? What about Ron’s sister? Ginny?”
She rolled her eyes. God. And she thought the Wizarding World was behind the times. “Ginny’s still in school dad.” She crossed her arms. “I’m living with Ron and Harry and that’s it.”
This time her parents sighed together and leaned back against the couch, arguments over. They knew that expression of determination on their daughter’s face. It was the same one that forced them to fund an entire summer’s worth of posters, badges, membership cards and awareness messages for S.P.E.W., even though they had no idea what a house elf was.
The weight of another body pressed against him, pushed him down until he was caught between them, their skin hot against his and slick with sweat and he could barely breathe as they moved together and it was perfect. Just what he needed.
“So you’re leaving, boy?”
“Yeah.” He shoved the last of his things in his trunk (letters hidden underneath the floorboard, a few mismatched socks and a worn, hand-me-down, single-eyes teddy bear form the cupboard beneath the stairs) and slammed the lid closed. The locks magically turned into place and he saw his uncle twitch out of the corner of his eye.
“Well good riddance.” His uncle grunted.
Harry grabbed the handle of the trunk and started dragging it through the kitchen to the front door. “Yeah,” he said again. He didn’t bother to look back.
Ron rolled over onto his back with a sigh, leaving just enough room on the bed for Harry to collapse in a boneless heap in-between him and Hermione. “Well,” he said with a chuckle, “that’s not something we could have done in Gryffindor Tower.”
“Ron!” Hermione reached over Harry to slap Ron’s arm, but she too was grinning, cheeks flushed and eyes bright with pleasure.
“What? I’m just saying, gave the bedroom a proper christening, didn’t we? Should do the same to the other two bedrooms, as well.”
Harry didn’t say anything, but stayed tucked between the two of them, thinking about their new flat. It was small and the doors creaked and there was no food, the only furniture they had was a few chairs and the bed (for which Ron went out and immediately bought sheets for), but laying here, listening to his two best friends bicker, it already felt like home.
