Much better than the first season. I now absolutely adore this show.

Favorite episode: Passion, by far. I loved the voiceover talking about passion, the different camera angles and the use of windows, and the way Giles found Jenny... wow. That just hit me in the gut, and I didn't even like her that much. I also thought this was a better episode with Angel, I liked how it showed just how far his obsession with Buffy went, (and just how brilliantly twisted he is. I love him so much more as a villain) and you could finally see a person who could drive someone completely mad, like with Drusilla. The part where he closely watches her face as she gets the news about Jenny... and he smiles, not all evil like, but the same smile he had when he was good Angel (on purpose or just lack of expression? :P)... that nearly gave me shivers. And poor Giles, I felt so bad for him. :( But I loved the part where he beats the shit out of Angel with a flaming bat. :)  On the whole I thought this episode to be very moving and angsty and very well done.

I don't have a least favorite episode. They were all great I thought.

Now, about ships.

Xander/Cordelia: Saw this coming in the first season, and am quite excited about it. I love Cordelia and I love those two together, all their fighting scenes are great and the few times they are really nice to each other I can't help but be "Awww..." about it. She was even willing to date him as a sea monsters. :P Don't think it's going to last, however. And I think it will end on Xander's part somehow. Something with Buffy or Willow... (that whole "I love you" scene in the hospital room might come into play) and I think Cordelia will be the one getting hurt. (For anybody reading this who already knows don't say anything!!!)

Willow/Oz (Ozz? Ozzzzzzzzz?): LOVE these two. I was excited about them from the very first episode he was in, when he was talking about wanting to find a different sort of girl...I knew it was Willow. They are SO cute!!!  "Who is that girl?" Haha. Oh, it's adorable. I really wish he was in more episodes. Hopefully he will be later on.

Buffy/Angel: This was so much more fun when he had no soul. The stalking, the twisted gifts, the way that despite the fact that "Angel" was gone and only the demon remained he couldn't stay away from her..much better than Mr. Tortured Soul. Though, I did love that scene at the ice rink where his face was all Vampire-y and he turned away from her and said she shouldn't have to touch him when he was like that. Sent me back to my Phantom of the Opera obsessed days. :) But I'm telling you, you know your life is screwed up when you are standing over a dead body and making out with a wounded vampire in the middle of night at an ice rink.

Drusilla/Spike, Drusilla/Angel: LOVE Drusilla and Spike, I thought they were adorable in a very twisted, psychotic way. I also loved Angel and Drusilla. Drusilla is just awesome, and I loved Spike's jealous/angry face. Heee...

Giles/Jenny Calender: Still didn't like it that much, I feared from season one that Ms. Caleneder would be set up as the Romantic Interest for Giles and was unfortunately right. I did like her better whn you found out she was a gypsy, and I thought the way she died was brilliant and perfect... and yeah, I'm a little morbid.

Buffy/Giles: Yeah, I know. This isn't a real pairing and won't be, considering the whole teacher/student, age difference thing (but when you think about it, he is much closer to her age than Angel. Just because he has luxury of being young forever...pff.) But still! My SUBTEXT! I loved how Giles wasn't about to come near Jenny again because she hurt Buffy, not him. And in the episode about the demon he conjured up in London, he tried to sacrifice himself AND kill his girlfriend (who was, admittedly, possessed by a giant evil THING at the moment) to save Buffy. It gives me comfort to think that despite who may come in and out of his life, Buffy will still be the most important person in it. And of course, there was the expression on his face when she told him she slept with Angel, and the little conversation in his car about her thinking he was dissapointed in her, his willing to stand up to her mother to back her up on the whole sleeping with Angel thing, (though he didn't agree with it), and then the hug at the end of "Passion," where Buffy declares that he couldn't leave her, that she wouldn't be able to do it without him... So yes, despite the Buffy/Angel, Jenny/Giles fest, I was pretty happy.

Now, the Finale. (This is getting pretty long. It's gonna have to go under a cut.)

So yeah, heartwrenching is definately the word. Expelled from school, kicked out of her house, on the run from the police, nearly got her all her friends killed, stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a giant sword, pinning him to a Swirling Vortex of Doom.... Uh, yeah. Pretty epic. I mean, I felt really bad about Angel and I didn't really like him that much. That demon was a bit of drag though, he just stayed stone and then his mouth fell open...pff. Loved Spike though. The interaction between him and Buffy was great:

"Yeah, just let me kill him first."

"Ahem!"

"Oh, right."

(Or something like that.)

I LOVED the scene with him and her mother, just sitting in the living room. So awkward. I could just see it:

"So my daughter...is a vampire slayer. Are you a slayer too?"

"No, I'm a vampire."

"Oh."

So much for small talk. :P

I hope this deal between Buffy and Spike was the beginning of a beautiful, though twisted and violent, relationship. Too bad he went off in the sunrise with Drusilla, though I don't hink she is going to be too happy with him after she wakes up.

Anyways, I should probably get some sleep now, and stop myself from starting season three.
