What are your likes/dislikes in terms of genre, and who are some of your favorites?

I really don't like most rap or country, so other than that I'm willing to give it a try. I've really been listening to Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Kansas and Pink Floyd here lately, so uh, maybe something more recent?

Let's see, sounds like you'd like some thoughtful folk.

How about:

Emily Jane White:
-Wild Tigers I Have Known (the song that introduced me to her, and one of the best titles ever)
-Dark Undercoat (my favorite song of hers)
-Snow

Girlyman:
-Speechless
-Viola
-St. Peter's Bones

Vienna Teng:
-Gravity
-Blue Caravan
-Between

I'm not too picky. Just no rap or country. I can't stand either. Other than that I'm willing to give it a try. :)

Not knowing what you like...
Mika's good pop, but very bright. Indigo Girls are good folk and my personal favorite.

Eh, I'm trying to expand my music tastes a bit, so anything that's not rap or country I'm will to give a go.

Thanks! I'll look them up. :D

Let me know if you like them. If you like the Indigo Girls I'll show you my Indigo Girls tattoo.
