Was I the only one not so impressed with this episode?

I thought the plot was a little too choppy, he pacing off, and it didn't feel to me like it had a real point of climax. There was no excitement, not much emotion.

I don't know, just this is second to last episode of the season that's supposed to finish off Kripke's massive story arc, and I just expected more. I mean, look at the previous season's 21st episode and what happened in them:

Season 1, Salvation: Dean and Sam face the demon that killed their mom, John gets taken by Meg at the very end.

Season 2, All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1: Sam gets stabbed and dies.

Season 3, Time Is On My Side: Okay, so I don't really like this one too much, what with the gross doctor, but it shows off Sam's desperation to keep Dean, closes Bella's story line in a fantastic, if sad way, and reveals that Lilith holds the contract to Dean's soul.

Season 4, When the Levee Breaks: Dean and Sam beat the shit out of each other and Sam chooses a demon over Dean, Dean tell Sam not to ever come back.

See? These are all big, and emotional and dramatic, and I just didn't think this one was.

I don't know, maybe the pain meds I'm on just kept emotionally distant or something, but I wasn't too happy with it.

Also, I didn't like the fact that the focus on the Sam-says-yes-to-trap-Lucifer conversation was always about whether or not he could over power Lucy. I mean, I get that it's important, but how about we, for emotional reasons, focus on the fact that if Lucifer jumps into the pit wearing Sam, Sam isn't coming back.

That is what happens, right? I didn't miss anything? Lucy goes into the fiery pit and Sam gets stuck there with him, whether he dies, or Lucy just continues to wear him for all of eternity just for spite is up for grabs.

Now, maybe they were saving that for Bobby and Dean's conversation at the end, but I don't know about you, but I didn't think the whole "or are you scared of losing your brother?" thing packed that much punch at the end. Mostly because of how distant they both seemed during the episode, or at least Dean did. Sam tried to reminisce on Wendigos, Dean apparently wasn't too down with that. Though, knowing him, he just won't participate in anything that seems vaguely like a goodbye.

Good Dean.

This whole episode just feels like a setup for the next one, so the finale this season better be damn good, that's all I'm saying.

Oh, on the plus side: Cas! I love you, Cas. You were very amusing in this episode. Though I've always wondered how you kept your vessel if you don't have any angel powers left. I mean, I assumed, at the beginning, that it was your power that allowed you to take possession of your vessel, now that those powers are completely gone shouldn't you like, poof out of Jimmy or something? Or do you no longer have an angelic form? Questions, questions.

Also, I love Crowley. LOVE HIM.

God, I am so hungry. I haven't eaten solid food since Sunday night, and I can barely choke down the pudding and jello I do eat. Today when Supernatural started my sister sat beside me and ate Taco Bell. I wanted to like, rip the food out of her hand and throw it at the wall. I don't care how hungry she professed to be, I haven't really eaten in almost five days and it was cruel to taunt me like that.
