Oh my god, such a great episode!
Oh my god!! From the very beginning, where House woke Wilson up by singing that he wanted his body and then Wilson saying that self important jerks were what he was attracted to, I fell in love with this episode. When, I saw the promo for it and saw that Cuddy was moving in with Lucas I thought this was going to be another Huddy episode, despite it being Wilson centered, and I am so so glad I was wrong.
House said he is moving on (!!), House said he would be alone in the world if Wilson died (!!), was there for the surgery even though he said he wasn't going to be (!!), and then all those scenes of him sitting by Wilson's bedside, even when he was asleep... I would have been happy if the episode had just ended there.
But then. But THEN.
WILSON BUYS THE LOFT CUDDY WANTED.
I've been a little upset that the past season or so has been focusing more on Wilson and Cuddy's relationship than Wilson and House's, but the fact that he got pissed off at Cuddy for hurting House and then deliberately got the apartment she was looking at just made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Wilson chose House, Cuddy. So there. :P
Not to mention, that House and Wilson are moving in together. Sure, they've been living together for this entire season, but this is so different than House moving into the den-turned-spare-bedroom of the apartment Wilson shared with his now dead girlfriend. This is them, getting a whole new apartment (totally lacking in dead girlfriend memories) with the intention of living together. My shipper heart bursts with joy, and is totally helped along with the prolonged eye contact that ended the episode. *happy sigh*
Also, in non shipper related squee, I loved that we got a closer look at how awesome a doctor Wilson is (figuring out there was something wrong with that one patient just because he didn't talk about his grandchildren) and I thoroughly enjoyed the brief glimpses of House's cases we got to see. The spanish speaking guy was hilarious, and I am so curious as to what prompted the shower everyone took.
All in all, an awesome episode, which is such a relief, 'cause I've felt that most of the episodes in the past two seasons or so haven't really been that great.
