Oh, this is wonderful! I never expected it to be this long. I love Mal's "Bucket List" and the short, snapshot style feel of all these segments. Everyone's perfectly IC, and I could hear Mal's voice resonating throughout the entire thing. I especially love your take on Mal's reaction to solving the mystery of Book, and his and River's companionable silences. This draws clearly upon the entire series, and has a gorgeous ending.
