Another Doctor Who Banner
So, I went ahead and rewatched the rest of season 1 of Doctor Who--plus the Christmas Special. And you know, every time I get to the end of Parting of the Ways I'm always just as sad as the first time I watched it. I loved Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. But then, it only takes the first few moments of David Tennant talking in front of the Sycorax to make me fall in love with Ten again. :) This upcoming regeneration is going to be rough--the first time I ever watch when it actually happens on the show, rather than years afterwards when I've already seen episodes with the next Doctor.
Anyway, I made another banner. This one for Parting of the Ways. I should probably be writing--I still have several drabbles (ficlets) that I owe to people and I need to get started on my chapter story I have planned, but I can't seem to get the motivation. I feel very lazy, and making graphics is relaxing for me. I stress out over my writing. But don't worry, I won't be able to ignore my word processing program for long.
Oh! and look! Rounded corners! It took me ages to learn how to do this, and when I finally did I couldn't figure out how to make the corners transparent. Finally, I just zoomed in and erased the corners pixel by pixel. If someone knows of an easier way, please let me know. :)
Enough rambling. On to the banner.

Also, I still have the image without the rounded corners, so if anyone wants to see/use that one, you can find it here.
Please comment and credit if you use, and please don't hotlink. :)

They didn't have that trailer when I went to see Star Trek. *pouts*

Yay!! *dances*
Haha. I was into Doctor Who before I started watching Buffy. In fact, Doctor Who is the reason I started watching Buffy. There was an episode with Anthony Stewart Head in it, and afterwards I just had to see more of him. And what else did I know for sure that he played in? Buffy. *grins*

I'm not sure what graphics program you're using, but there's a round-cornered selection tool in photoshop. You could highlight a chunk of the corner, invert the selection, and "clear" it. Maybe that would work. The rounded corners look ace! It's a nice touch!

I use photoshop, and to create the round edges for this I used the shape tool and inverted using the direct path tool, but it just turned the edges white and I couldn't figure out how to make them transparent. That's when I just went ahead and erased the white pixel by pixel.

Oh path tools... OK, I don't know much about path tools. Some day, I will learn, for now, I wallow in frustration when things don't look exactly as I want them to. Whatever you did, it sure worked. *thumbs up*
