Dark Angel

Just finished season 2 of Dark Angel, now I'm sad that there's no season 3. So many story arcs left unfinished. Ah well, just another show canceled before it's time. *thinks bitterly of Dollhouse, The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Firefly*

I think I might check and see what fanfiction is out there though.

I know! Way too many shows are cut off too soon!

I rec anything by [livejournal.com profile] surevesta because she's awesome. Here is her master post. She has a Dark Angel/Supernatural crossover if you like that kind of thing :)

Mmm. I'm not to big into crossovers, but I've read some of her J2 and loved it. She's the one who wrote the Dissonance story, right?

Oh yes she did! I beta'd that for her :) She's writing the story from Jared's POV, it's amazing so far!

Ooo! I'll definitely want to read that! I was wondering what going on in his mind during that whole thing.

*adds Veronica Mars, Roswell, and Wonderfalls to your list*

I know I've read several SPN/DA crossovers, but the only one I seemed to have saved is this one:

Ah, yes. I forgot about Veronica Mars. I've never watched the other two though, but I hve no doubt they were canceled before their time. Because that is just what happens: stupid reality tv stays on for season after god-awful season, and awesome plotty dramas are canceled too soon. *sigh*

I hate it when all the GOOD shows get cancelled! :( Supernatural is our last hope! ;)

I know. But yes, at least Supernatural has managed to survive. (100 hundred episodes yay!)

Like TSCC, awesome game-changing cliffhanger we never got to see resolved. Alas! Thank goodness for fandom :P

I read the first episode of a virtual season (virtualdarkangel.com), which wasn't bad? I haven't read more because I'm doing it in French, which I find a bit more challenging than I'd like to admit :P

There are actually canonical books as well, which were published after the series was cancelled! Valjean's fanfic (and oh, it's long, Max/Alec, and often crosses with Supernatural) picks up from where they left off.

Uh, where could I find this? *hopeful eyes*

:)

Maybe I'll put together a DA recs post,as there are a few other excellent Max/Alec authors that should be loved on.

Thank you! And I definitely won't be saying no to a DA rec post, should you feel like making one. Especially a Max/Alec one. :D

I watched Dark Angel pretty regularly and can remember be disappointed when it wasn't renewed. As you say, that is so often what happens, though.

Yeah. It makes me sad. I'm still in mourning for T:SCC, and now I have to add Dollhouse to the list. *sigh*
