So I'm back in the study lounge.

Why am I back in the study lounge at nearly four in the morning?

The light from my computer keeps my new roommate up. Never mind the fact that I sleep during the day and she doesn't give a shit if she wakes me up in the morning when her and her friend start chattering on the phone to some married guy they both had sex with at some point, or when she blow dries her hair in the room instead of the bathroom, with, I swear, the loudest blow drier I have heard in my life.

The only reason I'm giving in is because I didn't come back until after three this morning and I know I woke her up when I came in.

I am too damn nice.

Some chick is also in this study lounge, currently having a very heated and tearful argument with her boyfriend. I would leave to give her privacy (though she doesn't seem to care that I am here, by the sound of everything) but I have to get this story done for my fiction writing class, and there is no where else to go.

I am so done with dorm life.

I remember those days not fondly. My sophomore roommate and I had about the most opposite sleeping schedules ever, and we drove each other mad (I couldn't sleep with lights on, she couldn't sleep without the TV on, she had early classes, I wrote papers late at night, yada yada).

Good luck with it all.

Yeah, its been the same with all of my roommates so far, this girl is just being extra annoying about it.

Thanks, I think I'm going to need it to survive this semester.

Man, I was going to join the dorms, but luckily my parents talked me out of it. This combined with the stories I've heard from my friends at uni make me feel quite relieved. I really hope you manage to find some way of getting out of such a high level of room-mate stupidity.

You were very smart to take their advice. I am apparently very dumb, 'cause this is my second year living here in the dorms. And I absolutely hate it. The good news though, is that me and a friend have decided to get an apartment together next year, and I already know I can spend many hours with her at a time without going crazy. Yay!
