Dark Angel

Just finished season 2 of Dark Angel, now I'm sad that there's no season 3. So many story arcs left unfinished. Ah well, just another show canceled before it's time. *thinks bitterly of Dollhouse, The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Firefly*

I think I might check and see what fanfiction is out there though.

I know! Way too many shows are cut off too soon!

I rec anything by [livejournal.com profile] surevesta because she's awesome. Here is her master post. She has a Dark Angel/Supernatural crossover if you like that kind of thing :)

*adds Veronica Mars, Roswell, and Wonderfalls to your list*

I know I've read several SPN/DA crossovers, but the only one I seemed to have saved is this one:

I hate it when all the GOOD shows get cancelled! :( Supernatural is our last hope! ;)
cantarina: donna noble in a paper crown, looking thoughtful (spn - jess is laughing)

Like TSCC, awesome game-changing cliffhanger we never got to see resolved. Alas! Thank goodness for fandom :P

I read the first episode of a virtual season (virtualdarkangel.com), which wasn't bad? I haven't read more because I'm doing it in French, which I find a bit more challenging than I'd like to admit :P

There are actually canonical books as well, which were published after the series was cancelled! Valjean's fanfic (and oh, it's long, Max/Alec, and often crosses with Supernatural) picks up from where they left off.

I watched Dark Angel pretty regularly and can remember be disappointed when it wasn't renewed. As you say, that is so often what happens, though.
